Intervention Services
The professional Interventionist is one of many members of the intervention services team. Throughout the intervention process, two specific goals of the interventionist are to educate and provide insight to the family on substance use, mental health, lifestyle struggles, behaviours and to set a plan for the ongoing recovery and support the family before, during and after the intervention.
The desired outcome of the intervention process is that regardless of whether your loved ones’ decision is to accept or refuse help, the family will understand and navigate either outcome with their ongoing support from the interventionist or a team member involved throughout the intervention process.
The interventionist helps families understand their role in the addiction and mental health recovery process, the addiction and mental health behaviours, and the family’s reaction to those behaviours.
You shouldn’t feel reluctant to seek an Interventionist or Intervention Services for guidance and support. An Intervention is the first step a family can take to get their loved one help. Our team is trained to deal with situations in which the struggling individual becomes angry, violent or verbally abusive during the intervention. Our team works closely with Ontario mental health professionals to make sure all addicts are treated fairly when in or out of treatment. Our Intervention team offers knowledge and experience to help both families and those struggling with addiction and mental health disorders find healing. If the warning signs are there, it is IMPORTANT to ask for help.

Q & A
Family Intervention is a process that can help motivate an addict to seek help for their drug or alcohol misuse. Family and friends come together with the help of a professional Interventionist to confront the addict and convince them to attend treatment that day, or start planting the seed.
Yes, hiring a professional interventionist is very beneficial as they will provide a higher success of the addict agreeing to attend treatment. These are trained and qualified professionals that guide a family through the intervention process before, during and after the intervention process. Also they act as a mediator and help the family plan the entire intervention from the beginning to end.
Yes, they work, and it is the best opportunity for family, friends or coworkers to convince their loved one they need help. It works because the addict is left with no other choice as the professional interventionist is going to guide the family with placing boundaries and consequences in place. These boundaries and consequences are determined before the intervention and during the planning process. It is the best way to help the addict understand they need professional help. The interventionist team is there to provide specific support, guidance and recommendations throughout this process to ensure they can be successful.
The cost varies, but generally can start at $2,500 or higher depending on many circumstances like distance, preparation, planning, execution days and other costs. There is a lot that goes into the intervention process. A family interventionist spends a significant amount of time working with the family to address things like enabling, codependency, boundaries, consequences and much more.
