Aurora Recovery Centre is a full-service addiction recovery centre that focuses on biological, physical, spiritual, and psychological well-being. They use evidence-based modalities to create sustainable recovery, tailoring their treatment to each individual. All therapeutic groups, individual counselling sessions, and psycho-educational components are presented from a strengths-based perspective that builds on the individual's existing assets. Located in Gimli, Manitoba, and just one hour north of Winnipeg, Aurora Recovery offers a welcoming, respectful, and professional environment for addiction and co-occurring mental health treatment.

A Full Continuum of Care

Each client leaves Aurora with a tailored continuing care plan. The plan includes regular post-treatment follow-ups, continuing care group therapy, four individual counselling sessions, peer group meetings, exercise and nutrition recommendations, alumni membership, and a welcoming open-door policy. Aurora Recovery Centre’s commitment to their alumni includes a warranty for all programs of 45 days or longer. Any alumni engaged in continuing care and struggling within the first year of completion is welcome to return for 14, 21, or 30 days, dependent on the length of their original treatment. Costs for returning are $1000 for an administration fee, unless detox is required. If detox is required, a daily rate of $1000.00 is added until clients are medically cleared.

The location of Aurora Recovery Centre provides clients with a unique lakeside experience, with accommodations and treatment in their updated resort. Included in this prime location are adaptable, individualized recovery plans, structured daily routines, fellowship and community, First Nations cultural sensitivity and activities, and professional, credentialed staff members. Aurora Recovery Centre employs specialists in sex/relationship addiction, disordered eating, somatic therapy, and PTSD to effectively provide dual-diagnosis treatment for a range of clients. A community eating area, common recreational areas, semi-private rooms with double sinks, a fitness centre, and an indoor pool keep clients comfortable and relaxed during treatment. Aurora Recovery Centre has a flexible tech policy and allows certain clients to incorporate tech use into treatment as needed. They also welcome service animals.
